Justice

   Second in the series featuring the characters, Jessica Ford and Mark Ryan. She is a lawyer and he a secret service agent, in the first book, "Pursuit" they met when Jessica was in a car accident involving the First Lady. In the second book, they have broken up as the couple they had become during book one. Jessica has changed her looks and her last name, in order to stay protected from the bad guys that still might want to silence her. Her cover is blown, however; when she wins a big case for her law firm and her face is splattered all over the news. In comes Mark, once again, to keep the woman he still loves safe. Especially after another key player in the conspiracy has "committed suicide" a ruling he doesn't believe one bit. Soon enough they are on the run again, not just the villians in the first book but new ones only Jessica is sure are out there. When moving into her predecessors office at the law firm, she see's a womans shadowy image that disappears almost immediately. She can't get Mark to believe that the woman she sees is the one she replaced, the more she investigates the surer she is, the woman met with foul play.  Another good mystery, now the wait begins again for her next book!
