Plum Spooky in audio form
By Janet Evanovich
Usually I read these manually because I'm bothered by the narrator's voice for Ranger and Stephanie's Grandma Mazur but the shorter "in-between the numbers" books has only a little of both. This one features Stephanie's friend Diesel, a mystical guy who is chasing another mystical (but evil) guy and throughout it all Stephanie is dragged along for the journey. Explosions, and loose monkey's and kidnapping abounds, as well as all the other adventures that befall her whenever she chases down her FTA's, including flying fruit. LuLu as always makes an appearance and other new characters are introduced, all as quirky and dangerous to Stephanie's well being as the main characters, but no one is as dangerous to her as she is to herself. That is what makes all these books so funny; only in fiction could someone survive all the car accidents and other calamaties that she sometimes finds herself contending with. Now with the new Fearless Fourteen out, there's no time to wait for the next Stephanie Plum.
